We’re thrilled to announce that the Hutchinson Public Library received a $10,000 gift from Carnegie Corporation of New York in honor of America’s 250th anniversary. Carnegie Libraries hold a special place in American history and in the hearts of generations of Americans. Between 1886 and 1917, Andrew Carnegie funded the construction of 1,681 libraries nationwide. Today about 1,280 are still serving their communities. The Hutchinson Public Library is proud to be one of them!

Digital Library Cards are now available on OverDrive. Patrons who do not have a PLS library card may check out items on OverDrive. To access the OverDrive, go to: https://pioneerland.overdrive.com. Next, click on sign in on the upper right corner of the page and you will be taken to a welcome page where you can sign up
for a digital library card.

To sign up, patrons should enter their individual cell phone number. If a patron lives in the service area of Pioneerland Library System, the patron will be issued a digital card. This library card will expire 12 months and cannot be renewed. Patrons are then encouraged to get a library card from their local library.
